dogmatic catolics and jews hate muslams same way as muslams hate infidels ;-) and ofc jews hate catolics... and so on... There's nothing like peacefull religion. It was invented so u can kill infidels/heretics with clear conscience. Only difference bettwen muslams and more cvilized nations is separating religon from law and goverment.

The "troubles" in Northern Ireland had f all to do with religion. On one side you had the Nationalists who wanted Ireland reunited and on the other side the Unionists who wanted NI to remain in the UK. It was just chance that the Nationalists were mostley Catholics and the other lot were mostly Protestants.

Indeed, this could have been easily faked... Anyways, I do think that Christianity, the New Testament(!), is a rather peaceful religion. At least I haven't seen any of its followers kill anything in a context that can be justified by their religious belief. However, there has been indeed much killing 'in the name of Christ', which is absurd, from the religion's point of view. Even if the religion is non-violent, people have the need to make it violent nonetheless.

Just saw my post, my punctuation is awfull, and my spelling. Still hate all religions though, but especially Islam. Please, please, educate yourself about it, and as I said, don't listen to people like me, learn for yourself from the source. It takes time, and you have to sort through a lot of contradictory paragraphs. I know we want to be understanding about other people after what was done in the 30's and 40's, but our shame is blinding us to something similar.

Actually, I should have said that our history is 700 years of oppression, and can't be explained in a sound bite. However, it's almost over now, I spent a year in London, and it's now cool to be Irish in London, and we no longer resent them. The last hatred is with the Unionists in the North of Ireland. If you know your SUBJECTIVE history, you will know !

Replying to the last person. I'm actually Irish, and YES, what happened to us for almost 40 tears, was ignorant hatred, but it was never based in scripture. Islams hatred is based in their scripture, please read it, but you must also include the hadith to put it into perspective. I hate our Irish history which DID include the killing of innocents, I'm ashamed. But it was political not religious. Also, I've read the Old Testement, and I reject it as primitive and evil.

It's not "politcally correct" to not call Islam 'dirty'. It's called common sense and not being an ignorant arse. There are millions of Muslims the world over. A tiny percent of a percentage take it too far, or we misinterpret the differences in culture. It's the same with any religion, except these fanatics like blowing themselves up, which is good media fodder for spreading ignorance, unlike traditional shooting people to death, like Protestants & Catholics in NI, and other religious fundamentalist groups we somehow manage to disregard or ignore now.

A good way to gauge their thoughts, is to see their television, not just the worst countries, but across all Islamic countries. I was very very shocked at their poisonous and backward thinking, Make sure your sources are sound, you will still be truely shocked. They are NOT our friends, indeed Muhamad forbids them from being our friends. Make sure your political representatives understand that we are uncomfortable having them here, and for very very good reason.

What upsets me is the Politically Correct people who try to say that Islam is a religion of peace. I've spent a little time reading the Quran and the Hadith, it's a very very dirty religion, we need to know, because they're amongst us. They are thaught to hate unbelievers, Muhamad actually said once that a Muslim who befriends an infidel, is himself an infidel. FACT. Islam was spread through war and opression. Don't educate yourselves by reading hate sites, go straight to the source.
