demoninatutu, you are absolutely spot on. I hope it's #1 as well. If it is, then this is a terrific example of how individuals can apply their own reason to an issue with just a little bit of work. And if it's #2, well, I can see why she did it. At one point she says something along the lines of 'the most important proton they are looking for...' which makes me think it might by #1 - it's a hell of a piece of misdirection otherwise.

The most important part of her talk is when she says "I don't know what I'm talking about but...". From there the most constructive thing you can think about is "is she naked?"

An excellent exposition with sound reasoning and a clear demarkation of her opinions, which means that (1) Either she's someone that actually decided to do some reading before attacking the observatory with pitchforks or (2) She's a fake. I really hope it's (1).
