Yes it was probably dead, they bite their prey and wait for the victim to do die, often due to infection caused by their germ-ridden saliva. You can see another dragon in background that was probably following the dying pig.

they dont suck their cool but a bit nasty ive got a nile monitor that gets to 6 foot dunno what he will be like as a adult lol
