BEST BIT OF POLITICAL SPIN EVER... ...because it is a statement that satisfies both the voter (witness(s)) and the Prime Minister (unfortunate car owner) without actually lying about the issue at hand nor offering a reasonable solution... This, especially in the light of British political revelations, May '09. My humble opinion, that's all.

Latest comment: "So old. I saw a similar story in Readers Digest decades ago - Yes I'm old. But the note had different writing added to it - Checked the note - Jack's license plate number is XXX111. Have a good day, Bob. "

How can anyone be so nonchalant about damaging someone else's property? I hope this is fake.

Hi Jack, just give me clue as to where you live....just a clue.

I'd start with Perth, Australia as my first port of call.

Um guys??? He is renting the car in Perth...he probably doesn't live there.

Would the hire company not be able to provide the details of that days transactions (in Perth). They may have even had a Jack in that day. It's called detective work. The answers don't come to you.

He leaves a fake note but isn't smart enough to give a fake name? Or considering it is the most common given name in the English language, how much good will it do? If it's a rental how many different people could have driven it in a single day, which day, did he hit the other car the same day the note was found? I think Jack is safe enough.

The Budget car will have some kind of damage.Hence they will have the details of the driver who has admitted liability on paper. He must be a real idiot.

Guest: youreallstupid (200 days ago)

he could have just had a promotional pad of paper in his car, or borrowed a piece of paper off someone, dumbasses!
