The squaddies thought it was funny. The rest of us should accept that and stfu.

If a baby picks up a tin of beans from the supermarket, is it theft? It's a matter of intent. He didn't intend to insult and lots of people did find it funny. There is not a single joke which everybody laughs at. We all have different taboos and who knows, his statement could be true! It's a compliment, not an insult.

For crying out loud-this is what Jimmy carr does. It's also the kind of humour that soldiers have, as it says in the report. Anyone offended by this clearly needs to get a life. The sickest joke of all is the war itself.

Guest (136 days ago)

im offended that someone thinks my sense of humor is insensitive. where is the outcry for me. BOO HOO! Everyone needs to relax. Funny is funny.

Guest (136 days ago)

I think that this time Jimmy car has shot himself in the foot. So he'll be able to join the paralympic team too then.

thats really funny, have you ever thought of being a ******

For a joke to be a joke, someone has to find it funny and someone else has to be offended, otherwise its not a joke

boreme isn't a news site in case you hadn't noticed?

Really! are you sure this is'nt a news site.

kramnadrojkramnadroj (136 days ago)

Typical, it's the same with some racist jokes. You have an army of white people condemning it when black people take no notice. Here, the amputee has no problem with but everyone else makes it an issue. They're not children, if they have a problem with it, they'll say. They don't need us taking their side when they haven't even taken a side! Personally, I really don't think that was even a remotely offensive joke compared to the vast majority I've heard over the years.

Guest (136 days ago)

Seems like a few people got their sense of humour shot off too.

It's insulating and its wrong to our barve men in uniform there should be instant punishment for the insulating of a squaddie and it should be either jail or then being sent to Afganistan as its a discrace.

Guest (133 days ago)

Whats insulting and wrong is that the government sends our squadies to Afganistan and Iraq in the first place!

Latest comment: "As another great comedian once said, "what happens if you get insulted? F**k all, you get over it" "

gblairGBlair (135 days ago)

I can understand why people have been offended by it, but I personally found it funny.

Is it just me or does anyone else see the irony in the fact that the ParaOlympics was set up so that ex-soldiers with spinal injuries could have a sports competition?
