Info: June 2003 A gate-crasher found his way into Prince William's 21st birthday party at Windsor Castle, causing Home Secretary David Blunkett to describe security during the event an "appalling failure."
Self-proclaimed "comedy terrorist," Aaron Barschak dressed in a turban, false beard and pink dress, climbed a tree and scaled a wall to get onto the property. Once on the grounds, a worker at the castle spotted him and took him to a police officer. The officer directed him to the main entrance of the party.
"There was no further challenge from either the police or other staff controlling access to the party," said Secretary Blunkett. "Mr Barschak was able to get unacceptably close to Prince William."
According to reports, Barschak walked up to William, who was thanking his grandmother, The Queen, took the microphone and started into his comedy routine. "Then I … said to William, 'We love you,' then kissed him on each cheek," said Barschak to a newspaper. He continued that he was not challenged by anyone until he went to the bar and asked for champagne.
