Switch Felix Leitner for a Kiwi and James Bond for a sheep and you have it about right.

The term Pom is not an acronym , or an initialism of Prisoner of Mother England . Acronyms and initialisms did not come in to usage in the english language untill the 20th century . None of which has anything to do with New Zealand , the country of origin of the vodka features in the above advertising clip. Has all semblance of basic education ceased to be taught in Manchester.United by crass ignorance is still ignorance .

Convicts were not sent to New Zealand .They were sent to Australia . An Australian , swimming in Australian waters , was stung by a stingray , and died . The term Pom is not an acronym , or an initialism of Prisoner of Mother England . Pom , comes from Pome , which is an abbreviation of pomegranate , a reference to the red faced bloated English officials , administrators and military guards of the New South Wales Penal Colony.
