OMG im scared of balloons also but the foil balloons don't bother me either and i almost had a panic attack in my sleep becuase i had a dream well a nightmare people were surrounding me with ballons and popping them and i woke up crying im only 15

I'm also afraid of balloons. I'm only 14 years old, and everyone thinks it's stupid that I'm afraid. My friends make jokes by telling me that they will get me balloons for my birthday haha. Also, the foil balloons dont bug me at all. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I hate balloons, ever since i can remember, i would freak out, i have children of my own now, and hate going into Wendy's because they always try to force them on my kids! I hate going to parties with balloons, i used to think it was nuts, but not anymore!

I am so glad that their are others. i always felt stupid for being afraid of balloons. and yes for me foil ones dont seem to bug me like normal balloons

I'm actually glad i found this, i thought i was the only one with this fear. I'm 17 and i've been scared of balloons ever since i can remember, like a lot of other people the foil ones don't bother me at all.

damm this aint funny, yes i do have globophobia which causes me problems in my physics class as alot of our experiments lately have involved baloons and popping them in hot water or by causing the air inside them to expand with heat. Once people at school pick up on this fact thye wont drop it. I can deal with the small/medium size baloons its just the bigger ones when they pop it makes me jump and start shaking lol. the foil ones dont scare me though they are funny

i am terriefied of balloons, but also not the foil ones. however im not scared of them popping. i actually get hapy when they pop that means they are gone.. theres something with the look of them and feel of them, and especially the sound of something rubbed against it. its not funny, at all, ill see little kids around with them and try not to run and scream and have all eyes on me, but ill start to shake and stiffen and cry. And to amke it worse ive had people who know im afraid of balloons come up behind me rub the noise in my ear when i start squenching and i turn around its in my face. ill run and cry. and theyll laugh because they didnt believe it.

this show is stupid. i am so scared of balloons. i was cowering when i saw this. your not meant to force people to do things like that. people who laugh and stuff are pathetic. get a life. if someone was scared of spiders you wouldnt run at them with one.

I am only thirteen and I wonder if there is hope of getting over my phobia of balloons. Its so strange because I am ok with the foil balloons plastic ones I am so scared of. Especially if I see a small child or toddler with one, they are running with Balloons when they can bairly walk and they bit them and squeeze them and I am even queezy talking about it!!

I think people who laugh and think it's funny at some of these people have (what may seem) stupid phobia's are cruel. No matter what the phobia, they are NOT amusing, they can ruin your life depending on the phobia. I have two friends with phobia's, one's a common one, fear of spiders. even fake ones and she'll flip out. and the other is, yes, globophobia, balloons. she just freaks when they are popped and gets real shakey when they are big and look like they are about to burst. for all those people out there with fears, I try try to do yuor best and get over your fears. life isn't about hiding, it's about living

I have a fear of balloons, fires, fire alarms, and needles. These phobias have ruined my life. I have to make sure that none of these phobias tries to get into my house. If I had to deal with needles or the flu, I'd take my chances with the flu.

Yes I do. My cousin years ago was afraid of being sick, emetphobia, and whenever she saw or heard someone puking she'd scream her head off it was terrifying for everyone because she was only three years old at that time. One day at age 8 she said to me I am going to face this no matter how much the phobia throws at me. I will do whatever it takes to have a normal life. So she took a couple of lessons with her mum and now at 23 she doesn't have emetphobia anymore and now she has a job at a clinic and has two gorgeous children, grady and porscha who are five and 1 years old. and do you know what ? I am happy with her.
