Boris Johnson, highlight of World Cup re-run

Madejski stadium, Reading
Henley and Thames MP Boris Johnson took part in a charity football match, a light-hearted re-run of the 1966 World Cup to raise money for the Red Cross and the Bobby Moore fund.

In a dramatic head-on tackle, Boris brought down a Germany player. "There was no malice in my actions. I was going for the ball with my head, which I understand is a legitimate move", he insisted.

Germany won 4-2.
