Tom Cruise has apparently blackmailed Comedy Central into not showing the episode, which portrays him as a homosexual and his religion (Scientology) as a cult.

Sources from inside Paramount and South Park Studios report that parent company Viacom pulled the scheduled repeat of "Trapped in the Closet" episode after the Scientologist movie star Tom Cruise threatened to cancel all publicity for Mission Impossible 3 if it was aired.

The creators have yet to comment, but Comedy Central has offered this explanation: "In light of the events of earlier this week, we wanted to give Chef an appropriate tribute by airing two episodes he is most known for."

Isaac Hayes (the voice of Chef), also a Scientologist, quit South Park saying he could no longer stomach its take on religion.
