Finnish metal band Lordi were surprise winners of this year's Eurovision Song Contest with 'Hard Rock Hallelujah'.

Family Guy Rocks. It's so funny and it's one of my favorite shows ever. My favorite characters r Brian, Stewie, Megan, Lois, Peter and Chris. Every Griffin is my favorite. I know no one likes Megan but I do. She's cute and Peter is the best. Also he's fat, funny, and kool. I started watching Family Guy in Jan. 2003.

What ever happened to real music in the competition, oh yes there never was any, all serious bands in Europe could beat Eurovision bands any day, e.g. all British bands, Placebo, Enrique Iglesias (can't think of any more non-British bands), German rock groups, French pop, Spanish, Italian classical singers etc, now that would be a contest worth watching, but bands like Lordi who I bet no one in Finland had heard of before Eurovision just like Daz Samson was in Britain and still is basically unknown, have made the show into a complete farce, so no decent bands will go near it.

I really like Lordi and their music. I got all the albums and think they aren't demonic riders sent by Satan, but just musicians who like to make a little fun of the other Scandinavian metal bands. OK, so I'm Greek and I watched Eurovision, and Lordi was my favorite all the way through! I have a deep craving for devilish heavy metal rock music, and I love that whole monster scene like Kiss, so I instantly became a big Lordi fan! Just shows how appalling the tripe pumped out for Eurovision really is, that a camped up hard rock band with a good beat and some "interesting" lyrics can win in a Europe wide competition. Love songs across Europe are very different but a good thrash goes everywhere.

To the guy who wrote something about ABBA... ABBA = Sweden, Lordi = Finland. Guess you also think there is polar bears in Sweden... Anyway, good thing Lordi won, even though I am not from Finland. The thing is that the Eurovision has become so dull, 99% of the songs are really crap, and no "songs" at all. Where is the melody? The art of musicmaking?
