Latest comment: "Astonishing! I'm watching it for the 5th time. I like that they come back with reinforcement for the calf. Humans would do the same. We're not that different after all. I like the part when the calf is dragged into the water and when one of the lions is thrown into the air by a buffalo. I wonder how life was for humans before technology? "
That was one tough little Buffalo! Attacked by a pride of lions, then used in a game of tug-o-war between lions and crocodiles, and walks away (literally) from it all! Awesome sequence of events.

Reclaimer: Your post doesn't make any sense. If you notice, at about 6:28 in the video, the calf gets up and walks into the heard, so the calf was saved. If you're referring to the initial attack in which the others ran away, it was 4-2, so that doesn't make sense either. Either way, the calf was saved.

The buffalo probably could've saved their calf if they were'nt so scared of the lions. They had them outnumbered and each one is double the size of a lion.
Info: A battle between a pride of lions, a herd of buffalo, and 2 crocodiles at a watering hole in South Africa's Kruger National Park while on safari.
