I think this is absolutely Hilarious and love listening and talking to the elderly people, they are much the same as talking to a 4 yr old. in that they care free and truthfully honest, in all that they say and do!

Love and humor, beauty and joy are in the heart of the beholder, and it's a shame that yours is stuffed cold with fear. In every book of God, it is love that is the quintessential message. Hope you find a little to enrich your soul.

hahaha. You people get soo worked up when someone voices an opinion different than yours. You all must be conservative republicans who voted for John McCain. Believe it or not everyone doesn't have the same tastes, and a great part about living in america is being able to voice your opinion on horrible comedey. Such as Ellen, or any talk show for that matter. Marty you are probably old and mental, so I'm not even going to waste my time talking about your momma.

I don't watch the show very often but I love it every time I get the chance. Not surprised the Ellen brings out the Gladys's of the world. I can't wait to hear Ellen and Gladys again.

Regardless of whether or not this is really, it's freaking hilarious. What makes it so funny is that I KNOW old people who are like that. I live in Kingsport (the brief place she mentioned around minute 3), and this "Gladys" speaks and acts the way many of our elderly here do. But anyway, whether or not it's fake, it's funny because it's got so much truth behind it.

I find it awfully funny that people like Jeremy talk about how some have nothing better to do, when in fact they are the ones commenting on random web sites. You must have such a busy life Jeremy. If you're too stuck up to have some fun that's fine, but don't take other people's laughter away from them.

Are you people working for the Ellen show? Then how are you "for sure" this isn't fake. Fake or not...it's still not entertaining and bad t.v. All talk shows are for people with no lives, none worse than Ellens and Oprah's. Only excuse is if you are old and have nothing better to do...

If you don't like it don't watch it. I am an Ellen fan although I don't get to watch often. Ellen is humorous, especially to those of us who are tired of sex in every corner of the small screen. You can't even watch the news anymore.

This isn't Jaston Williams or Joe Sears. It's Scott Hardy, an Austin comedian who does voice work in ads. Check Glady's MySpace.Scott is listed as a "friend" & refers to Gladys as his "Nana".People in the area know him from his appearances at Cap City Comedy Club in Austin & prank calls to area radio stations. He's a very nice guy, with a great love for animals.Part of the profits from his "Gladys" CD will go to the Austin Zoo, a very good reason to buy the CD.

I'm not a huge fan of these types of sketches. It remindes me of a lot of reality shows. Poor writing and corny punch lines. I'm not singling out women here, this goes for men too...but if you are into talk shows then that say's a lot about your character.

I saw this as it aired, and it isn't a fake. Also have seen Gladys after that on Ellens' show. It's too bad there are so many cynics in this world who just can't believe in sincerity and true emotion.

I think this is hillarious. There is no way it was a "setup". I don't get to watch Ellen because I am at work....but this made me want to tape her shows to watch later. I would love to see Ellen go visit Glady's or get a picture of her.

Yeah this is definitely a set up, you would be naive to think differently. Although a bit amusing, it was obviously arranged before hand. Don't believe everything you see/hear people!!!
