Yes that is a pre-release Windows XP logon screen. I was one of the testers that worked in that lab in Redmond (specifically on the main MS campus, building 27); however I was cowering under a conference table in a meeting room nearby during the quake. Only my workstation got caught by the webcam (monitor covered with posit notes to the far right).
