The people that made the test are pretty stupid considering that all squares are in fact rectangles, and yet clicking on one when it says "click the rectangle" makes you lose.

Nope, false, I'm afraid. A rectangle is a four sided shape whose four angles are all equal to 90 degrees. A square is a special case of a rectangle. Some teachers may teach it wrong, but them's the facts. The word you might be thinking of for a non-square rectangle is "oblong" - although it's not used that much these days.
Well i enjoyed the test, helps people that may becoming slower than usual via illness, this is easy enough to use as a weekly test i guess. A little Brainfood is good for you. I'm no college graduate or anything, and i was always taught a SQUARE has 4 EQUAL SIZE SIDES... a RECTANGLE has 4sides also BUT 2 sides (opposite each other) are SMALLER than the OTHER 2 SIDES(facing each other) This is how early learning is taught... to a young child a SQUARE IS A SQUARE and a RECTANGLE is a RECTANGLE... and if they started to answer differently they would be marked as wrong...TRUE???

whoever set up this test is wrong. All squares are rectangles. A rectangle has four straight sides that describe 4 interior angles of 90 degrees. The writer of the test is wrong and I shall not continue. Y'all have a nice day. Bob

I love the moronic angry comments about a square not being a rectangle. Definition of a rectangle: The opposite sides of a rectangle must be equal in length, oppositre sides must be parallel, the four internal angles must all be 90 degrees. Other rules follow from these. This does of course assume a Euclidean (locally "flat" space) geometry since a spherical or other geometry will give a different set of conditions. Just use some common sense in the questions.
