Go to You Tube and search Cross wind landings. Kai Tac, Hong Cong's old airport ws natorious for bad cross wind conditions and had no alternate bearing to land on.

And there was me thinking that all airports would have a cross wind speed limit for landing? What do you think?

It was the strongest storm "Emma" that rolled over Hamburg this year. The Airport was still open and the whole day planes were landing there. Very risky. The plane from the footage actually touches the ground with the left wing.
