Religion does not exist, get real man. Think about it, in only 100 years we could wipe out religion if it was not taught to children. I`m sure this would save lives in the long run. Is most of the american tv companies run by hard core christians and this is the dross they air. I`m from England and there is a big percentage who do not believe. Why is it perceived as a cult, oh no there atheists, argh quick run for your lives there is an atheist sitting next to me on the bus !!!! get real man

I love the reporters astonishment at the fact that it's possible to lead a normal life without religion. They make it seem like religion created morality. Worrying religious arrogance.

Yeah, and 'Jedi', in my case at least, was a protest vote. I'm not sure about the current lot, but Blair basically wanted to replace the established church with a hotch-potch of "official" religions. He failed. I slag the Yanks off a lot, but at least they, in theory at least, have secular government. The goal here in blighty has to be to replace the established church with a secular state, rather than an even worse variety of privileged, "official" religions.

2001 Census: From the people who responded to the voluntary Religion Question, 14.6% stated that they had no religion. Although only 37 million responded to that question so the rest could be agnostic or didn't like the question. Also, 0.7% said they were Jedi

lol yeah I agree. I wonder what percentage of England are atheists? Much higher I woulda thought. I quite like the idea of a religion that doesn't believe in a God. More like a belief in a moral code (i.e. something real) than a belief in fiction

Amazing. Just how far behind are the Yanks slipping? That report could have been made in the 19th Century. "They look like a normal family, but they're actually atheists!"
