The official language could not have been aboriginal - everyone knows that Australians are just the descendants of ENGLISH convicts sent there in the late 1700's. The Abo's have been pushed to the background in what should be rightfully their country, have you not heard of the History Wars?? Besides, when was the last time you saw an Abo on Neighbours?? And I wouldn't have said the crowd were shocked by the answer either!

Aboriginal is not a language. Aboriginals have hundreds of languages but Australia has only one "official" language... "Ocka".

He was right to quit - the 'official' language could have been Aboriginal. Thinking about it though, a 5th grade question would probably not be a trick question.
