Troubled star Britney Spears was criticised by fans for a half-hearted performance as she mimed along to her latest hit. One fan wrote: Britney's performance was a disgrace. I don't know how she had the nerve to stand on that stage and mime when 'amateur' singers gave such good performances. Simon Cowell should be ashamed to serve up such rubbish.

For a woman whos job, profession, it is to be a singer and dancer, it was pretty awful. Put a bit more effort into it next time brit.

i thought it was alright and i admired her for getting back up there after everything she has been through. she didnt sing live as she was dancing and also promoting the new single, when they do that, they always mime so you can hear the single how it is released. They do it all the time, Miley didnt sing live, Mariah didnt when singing her new song, and neither did the X Factor finalists when they sang Hero. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE ha ha

Looked like a rehearsal, not a live performance. He head-mic was non-functional (notice he had to put his mic in her face for her to be heard).
