This video took my heart by complete surprise. I balled in happy tears.I love cats and some when think of me as the crazy cat lady , but that okay because today I know that what make me happy is loving cats unconditionally it brings some much peace to my life not to mention happiness

Of course it's fake... they sat down with the lion countless times and went through the script. He probably offered up a few of his own ideas... you know, the little of moment realisation before breaking off into a gallop making people think "OMG! he's going to mawl them!!" and then getting all lovey. He's got an actor's union card you know. Yes, of course it was all fake... We're all too clever to be taken in by such trite, romantic nonsense. Note to Americans: Irony.

When I read some of the comments attached, I think what a sad bunch some people are. i think the lion would be a more faithful friend than some of these sad cases. I also think they should brush up on their punctuation!

Nice, but you should correct the title. It's not "heart rendering" but "heart rending" that you should write! "rendering" means something entirely different! Check in your dictionary and learn something. The silly title spoils the effect a bit.

Guys, at times it is funny to go 'fake' etc as this is a world full of cynics thanks to how the media has developed. However with this story, apart from the 'over the top' soundtrack is great and 100% real and is accounted for here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_the_lion#Viral_video Anyway, its quite a moving video and one of boremes better ones so if anything just enjoy it!
