yeah, that 9 year old talking about "drugs", i think that someone chose to ignore the age rating on the game he was playing... which hardly makes it a fair representation.

Do this kids have no parents? Games surely can be dangerous for kids but its the parents job to watch what they play.

I would also be interested to know how any kids were filmed and for how long. If this is just a sample of kids and shots, then I would suspect editing towards influencing a certain point of view.

This clearly proves and shows without any shadow of a doubt the utterly terrifying reality that when children play computer games.....they look really gormless :D

What about when kids used to play cowboys and indians and balst the crap out of each other. Aim toy guns and pull the trigger. Is that any better?

There is another disconnect here. The kids are playing Video Games. Games. They are not shooting real people or causing real violence. Making sure kids understand that some things allowable in video games are not ok in real life is important and part of a parents responsibility. Just like making sure your 9 year old isn't playing violent games.

In response to RobXP, I'd say the more worrisome factor is the lack of remorse - there's no emotion as to what they're doing and no identification of the acts of violence.

Isn't this why they put age ratings on games?

Before anyone goes: Oh no those poor kids, let me add this: The ominous staring is something everyone while watching TV. We've become so tailored to it, that we lose thought of what we are actually doing. It's a form of hypnosis that has been used throughout the years to imprint an image of society on our minds. Pay attention next time you gather around the telly and look at the eyes of the people watching it. Different? I think not. Furthermore, linking violence, computergames and young children is hardly an unbiased representation of this phenomenon. You would get the same effect if they play Mario or whatever other all ages game. So don't link this hypnotic stare with violence.
