Cleese certainly was funny, but that was a long, long time ago. Calling Sarah Palin a parrot is just downright stupid. First she doesn't look anything like one. Second, all human beings copy (parrot, if you like) what other humans say and have said, down the centuries. Check out your own vocab and see if you can trace where the words come from. hoipoloi and guest - I think picking up the accent is just the downside of spending a lot of time in the States. Nobody really goes 'hey, I know y'awl, I'll pick urp yor aksint cos it are jus' neato!' When he's over here, he sounds normal. Erm.. you know.
