No no no. If she was grounded, IE had her hand on a metal pole sunk into the ground, she would have been fine. The human body is a very good conductor. I was electrocuted while leaning on a metal table to clean the back of it when a power cord got pinched between the wall and the table. I managed to break free after a few seconds of uncontrollable muscle spams and was no worse the wear for having been grounded to the table.

Latest comment: "I have been quite near, about 100 yards, from where a lightning rod struck a building. The sound was deafening and the shock wave was so strong it felt like some one slapped me full pelt in the chest. That would have overloaded any microphone. That was more like a static buildup outburst "

I don't buy it either. Mainly because the few people that I know that have been struck by lightning, definitely all say one thing - that it was the most incredibly loud thing they have heard. So it seems to me that the mic should have picked up something more than that. No doubt it got very near - but I don't think it hit her.

i agree. this and all other like it are false as well. the electronics would be shit so would anything that touched it.

Not at all convinced.. I'm pretty sure lightning would destroy the camera's electronics, leave the woman unconcious (like all other lightning stike victims) and she'd have no hands left!

"because the few people that I know that have been struck by lightning" You must know people that naturally attract lightning!! I'd stay well clear of them if I were you.
