In one sentence: "This does for easy video manipulation what Photoshop does for image manipulation" Of course the painting looks 'fake' they weren't going for production quality but making a proof-of-concept presentation. Photos can be photo-realistically manipulated by a home user with the right software. When developed, this will make it possible to manipulate video realistically also.

The face paint on the warriors actually looked rather convincing. If someone had bothered to make it look more believable, and blend it better with the face colors, I believe it wouldn't be easy to distinguish the edited from a real scene. This way, it looks like MS Paint, most likely because the technique used is pretty much MS Paint...

I agree with AJ: THis was a load of bollocks. If they didn't bother to make it look 'real', then I'm really not sold on it. I wanted them to make it so realistic I couldn't tell what they'd done or hadn't done. It was a total let down.

But, apart from the Mustache on the dude, you could tell everything else was fake because it just didn't fit with the clip it was in. The buildings and logo on the giraffe looked rubbish, the face paint on the boy didn't work (looked like MSpaint), the faces in the cliff looked stupid as did the paint on the warriors.
