What a horrible world we live in. I dont know how this is even allowed considering gray wolves just moved off the endangered species list last March. There is less than 1500 gray wolves less in the wild. Why in the hell are they being gunned down?

Tim, yes these animals are predators, but shooting them from the air is inhumane. They are in the remote areas of Alaska and not in the cities and towns.

I disagree with aerial hunting of wolves, but she is simply a product of her culture. Alaska is a very different place. Of course, that also rather dims her qualification for leading the country as a whole.

Let's put this issue in a proper, unemotional, perspective. Nobody is indiscriminately killing these wolves as the piece suggests. They are predators and yes, there are hunts designed to afford a proper balance of wildlife. Alaska is not changing as a result of these hunts. These hunts sustain a healthy wildlife balance.
