My respects to the Iceman - not just for his will, but also his attitude - treating the cold as a friend and not something to just fight. I've met a native american in saskachewan canada, who wears only a threadbare sandals even in the winter. When I asked how - he said 'how do the wolves do it?' Also have seen video of tibetan lamas walking in the himalayan snows in sandals only. But they also use mental techniques to increase body heat.

I don't know whether or not he is willing his body to heat up against the cold or if his body is doing it by itself, but either way I think what he has done is amazing.

He's wearing a hat! What a wimp. And surely he should be called Hotman not Iceman?

What a guy. Just shows man can do anything they want if they try, go through pain and reach the goal! The reason why he hasn't hit the papers? Isn't it obvious? It's full of newly-addicted crack head celebrities; nowadays, people won't even know where Finland is. It's a shame. People like this should be recognised everywhere. Well done iceguy.

Sorry for the repeat, had a typo...Made me shiver just watching it. That was sheer will power. Amazingly powerful stuff. I would love to shake this man's hand. Suprised this hasn't made the news headlines.

Will is sure most powerfull force that humans have, but very few know it.Humans have no limits, only their minds hold them.Respect for iceman.

caught this video by accident, this man is totally inspiring, he shows us mans mind over matter, and what you can accompish, more so now, as i have just been diagnosed with motor nerve degeneration...if he didn't give up, then neither will i, god bless him, and i thank him for his sense of purpose, and sheer force of will, he is an inspiration.

Boring. If he'd been a female runner in only a pair of shorts it could have been more interesting, especially as the cold would have made her nipples HUGE.
