As a victim of violence by some twat who was coked out of his head at the time, I disagree. If they do this, I hope all the druggies move to the neighbourhoods of the people who advocated it.

As a serving police officer in the UK I think this is a ridiculous ideal. Drugs cause so many problems, legalizing does not remove health implications, short term and long term. It will teach children that there is nothing wrong with them, like cigarettes and alcohol, causing a similar cycle in the healthcare system > pay £ to State in tax for drugs > get paid for by State for treatment. It will also appear to be endorsed by the State. People aren't responsible enough to look after themselves, that's why we all have Government to do it for them. The countries forced into poverty by the production of drugs? We KEEP them there by demanding MORE? Who's to say the families who produce these drugs will get paid fairly? Sovereign countries have different laws.

100% agreed when govermet would legalize all drugs (coz they can't control illegal sell either) i think they could take bilions dollars from hands of drug cartels. Marijuana case is funny becouse cigarets are fare more deadly and it's phiscly addctive which marijuana isn't. So weve got legalized drug far more stronger than marijuana but ofcourse smoking ciggarets does not affect human behavior same as marijuana BUT alcohol does it far stronger and quicker :P

Would have liked to have heard the answers. What he says makes perfect sense and many others are saying it. But it's not going to change any time soon, the so called 'war on drugs' provides too much revenue and excuses for social control.
