I wasn't surprised - the tip of the wing is already bent at the start of the clip.

Look at the white line on the ground; that truck was parked clearly 3 feet over it! That wasn't the pilot's fault; whoever parked that truck left his arse hanging out!

The incident happened at Lusaka Airport not Johannesburg

Yep, that's SAA for ya. One of the most unreliable air carriers ever. If you land safely, then chances are pretty good your luggage has been pilfered too. Blegh.

"We trust that you have enjoyed your flight with us and we look forward to seeing you again" - spoke too soon, love

How flippip' embarrassing for this pilot. He'll never live this one down. I'm gettin' ready for a trip to South Africa...This is NOT very reassuring.

Latest comment: "Why you shouldn't let blacks fly planes nor have stopped apartheid. "

Where's the wing man guiding the plane in on the port side? This plane should have been stopped well short until that truck was repositined. Funny cooment about the wing already being bent. At least I hope they were kidding. Jeez.Andy

...or should the container not have been parked there? Nope, he'll never live this down.

It did say 'switch off all mobile phones until landing' or something, maybe he screwed with the auto-pilot.

Apparently OR Tambo Airport (previously known as Johannesburg International Airport) has one of the highest incidents of passengers luggage being 'lost'. Make sure your bags are too and enjoy the trip!

Guest: Joe Bloggs Redfaced (802 days ago)

Ooops ... I meant to type that whenever I been to Johannesburg I've made sure my luggage is locked up good 'n' tight - make sure yours is too! ... and enjoy the trip! :)
