@davy crockett i'm ex DoubleBass studen ;-) and i know that when u r going for speed not quality of sound/interpretation its only muscle memory. When ur playing some piece 100th time u dont have to think what u have to play it just goes :P btw. ofc i agree with u that fast guitarist wont be pro player just coz hes fast :P imho manual speed is about 10% of succes.

as a hardcore gamer and an ex student of the guitar i really hope your not tring to compare this to gaming.the two are copletely diferent.you might have good hand eye but even the best guitarists in the world could'nt play at this speed.dont be a know it all gimp.oh and its not just muscle memory...try playing the guitar yourself if your so confident.

i thought thats the speeds that i know from gamming like warcraft 3 or esf mod for halflife pros goes from about 250 to even 400 apm and it goes along with thinking not only mussle memory

I guess if you slowed this down, you'd be able to tell whether he picks each note or he just blurs through them. Maybe that's how they check for the record.
