The 23 mile bridge across Hangzhou Bay will cut travel times by half between the cities of Shanghai and Ningbo. This beats another Chinese bridge, the 20 mile Donghai Bridge that links Shanghai to the Yangshan deep water port.

According to the bridges own website Its only 36km long which is 22.36 miles long. The worlds longest bridge in The Offical Guiness World Records is The Lake Ponchartrain Causeway which is 23.87 Miles

There is no standard way to measure the total length of a bridge. Some bridges are measured from the beginning of the entrance ramp to end of the exit ramp. Some are measured from shoreline to shoreline. Yet others are the length of the total construction involved in building the bridge. Since there is no standard, no ranking of these bridges should be assumed because they are at a certain point on a list.
