The Chairless Chair

Imagine a world where it wasn't practical to have a device to sit down on, a world where in a confined space having a chair or stool could cause stupid accidents, a world where it would be invaluable to to work with a steady hand while sitting in an area where a chair couldn't be taken easily, a world where people would actually look at the benefits of an invention, instead of instantly making needles sarcastic comments, without looking at the bigger picture.

And he doesn't deserve to have a business? Why would that be? Because he's honest and upfront about things. You get what you pay for with Ryanair. Everyone complains about the airline, O'Leary this and O'Leary that, but ultimately, everything is written there (extra charges etc) when you book a flight with them, if you don't read it, is that his fault?

it could be the end of ski lifts, if he was actually using it to go up hill. surely the whole point of it is to do something you can't normally i.e go uphill.

you'd be unlikely to find any of those things, after all it is only a concept. I don't think a navigation system is a basic feature anyway.

why should she have to identify herself, she asked them not to skate there, and not impolitely either, why can't they just respect that it is someone else's property (doesn't matter who it belongs to, whether they have the right to be there or not or if there is a sign there). yes skating is a legal action, but ollieing onto a step on someones property and damaging it, turns it from a legal action into an illegal one. should she have a sign that says 'you can skate here as long as you don't wax the steps, damage the kerbstones, causing too much noise and anything else that we the management reserve the right to call damage'

you're missing the point completely. i'm sure there are signs on most malls or whatever they are in america, asking you not to skateboard, but common sense and respect for something that doesn't belong to you should prevail. There are no signs in walmart saying 'please do not take quarts of milk from the coolers, smash them them on the ground and pretend to slip on them then upload it to youtube'. You know you shouldn't do it, but people still do anyway, because it's rebellious and 'fun'. do we have to put a sign up for every single thing we are not allowed to do when we go outside?

but the fact being, you would know you were not supposed to ride your skateboard there, but you were doing it anyway, so it is highly unlikely that if the manager asked you to stop, you would, it would usually end in a confrontation, people losing their temper and rash actions being taken. you need to look at the real world sometimes, you can't reason with skateboarders all the time.

the woman clearly asked them not to do it, and like she said, they did it anyway. and cengland, it may not be illegal to go on private property, but would you be allowed to ride your skateboard through Walmart? i think not! there may well have been a sign, just because the video didn't show it, it doesn't mean it wasn't there. Even if they had been invited by a tenant, it doens't give them the right to cause damage. skateboarders cause alot of damage wherever they go, they wax kerbstones so they can grind them, their trucks take huge chunks of concrete out of steps and they have a total lack of respect for other peoples property, if they want to skate it, they will and f*** everyone else. I was a skateboarder for 10 years, i know what it's like when people get angry with you, for what you see as only having a bit of fun, but the skateboarder doesn't have to pick up the bill for the damage they are causing. Let's be realistic here cengland, what do you think their reaction would have been if she asked them to identify themselves? i'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been 'why certainly madam, here's my address and telephone number, feel free to discuss this with my parents'. Taking the skateboard from them may not have been right in your 'eyes of the law' world, but she obviously felt it was the only was to hold them to account for the damage they were causing.

like most panaorama things for the iphone, they're late to the party, photosynth for windows phone does a much better job, not just a panorama, but up down and all around as well.
