full features files aren't legally available for phones anyway (non u.s residence)
small podcasts/videos that are designed for it are fine

@Kungfukenny: You can always read a book. Listen to music. Sleep a little bit longer. Look at oher people just for fun. Play a game on your phone. But watching a movie on your phone is like watching porn instead having sex yourself: it's somewhat related, but still not the real deal.
David Lynch has lost his way the last few years, but the point he makes is a valid one.

Watch the film on a big screen first, then if you're bored on a tube watch it on the phone. Bit like reading Brodie's Notes

I could never think that watching a movie on a phone would be enveloping, engrossing, or engaging. Too many interferences for me to get lost in what is considered the "fantasy of the moment" that theatre is suposed to provide, whether live or in a movie. Somehow a phone just doesn't do the performers and all the other people involved justice.

Latest comment: He's the only filmmaker who is making emotional, involving films. there are too many shallow, wasteful technological distractions in modern life, and what is wrong with asking people to concentrate and look and listen attentively in a cinema. INLAND EMPIRE made me question reality itself. Not many films can do this. God forbid we might become bored for a few minutes.

Good on him - you can't become totally immersed in a film whilst watching it on a stupidly small screen.
