Sorry, not being cynical, just realistic. I love a beautiful story the same as the next man, but not when it's a lie. Too many good things for us to love, which means we can afford to ignore the lies.

Nice, but you should correct the title. It's not "heart rendering" but "heart rending" that you should write! "rendering" means something entirely different! Check in your dictionary and learn something. The silly title spoils the effect a bit.

When I read some of the comments attached, I think what a sad bunch some people are. i think the lion would be a more faithful friend than some of these sad cases. I also think they should brush up on their punctuation!

I'm no expert, but juvenile Lions
rarely are the head of a pride, and
this Lion is obviously still a juvenile (the mane !).
Is this some sort of shit telephone

Also, if not the head of a pride, he could not have a "wife". Females stay with the pride, and adolesent males are kicked out to live on their own until they're capable to defeat the incumbant male to take control.

Of course it's fake... they sat down with the lion countless times and went through the script. He probably offered up a few of his own ideas... you know, the little of moment realisation before breaking off into a gallop making people think "OMG! he's going to mawl them!!" and then getting all lovey. He's got an actor's union card you know. Yes, of course it was all fake... We're all too clever to be taken in by such trite, romantic nonsense.
Note to Americans: Irony.
