ps, I didn't involve myself in the situation for fear of being put on the sex offenders register, becoming the new member of the Tapas nine, etc. I've tried helping people in London before, only to be abused by them, hence informing the police!

Defiantly not UK police. They would have asked his name and address and then told him to report himself to his nearest immigration office. Very tough procedures here in the UK.
