Paki is not racist, its just a contraction of Pakistani. Do Australians get offended if they are called Aussies? No! Just because the Pakis find the term insulting doesn't make it a derogatory term. The correct term, of course, should be Gupta (Indian) as when it boils down to it all Indians and Pakis are of the same descent. In fact, before Pakistan got annexed they were all Indians.

Dumb guest below... Niggers use that word to describe each other, so how is it an unsult? Idiot! I could get offended by someone calling me four-eyes, but I don't, I rise above it. Pakis should take the same approach to people who try to get a reaction from them by calling them Pakis. According to the UN 'racism' has the aims of nullifying or impairing a persons human rights based on their race, colour or ethnicity. Simply stating their race cannot be racist unless this was followed up by some kind of discrimination. Calling me a 'Jock' isn't racist but 'F--k off back to Scotland Jock!'is. (1619 days ago)The reason paki is offensive is very simple, because whenever it's said, it's in a derogatory way. The same reason you wouldn't call a Japanese person a 'Jap'. Also, if the Pakistani community find it offensive then that should be clue that it's racist.
