It appears the America contributors have failed to understand how the quiz show works. Getting minus points means you have given the obvious answer which actually turns out to be wrong. It is a humorous quiz, not really designed to show how clever you are. You might go for the obvious wrong answers to see how many minus points you can get, whilst still trying to get the most laughs.
