Interesting points.. but there was only one asshole on the plane who tried to set his bollocks on fire. Demonize that... it only takes one prick to get on the front page.. as for the comments, there's no difference between "stupid redneck" v "sand nigger" .. you're also perpuating the problem... 0.000000001% concept... would be that Timoth McVeigh then? it makes me sad too dude, but what makes you so special?

Whatever - Where are your religious leaders denouncing these "radicals"? If Islam is a peaceful religion have your religious leaders come out and speak clearly and forcefully against these radicals. Until then Islam is a backwards religion of hate and terror.

Do your leaders in the west come out to denounce the murder of innocent civilians by US bomber's in Iraq and Afganistan and Israeli murdering palistinian children for land, No. Most leaders around the world are either corrupt or can't afford to speak out against other's.

What this guy fails to realise is that the car bomb was news long before anyone suspected that it might be related to a popular TV show or Islam. This isn't a story because "one muslim" made a threat, it's because "one muslim" made a threat in the name of islam, and a bomb nearly kills their target. The story transpired in reverse.

It's also a story because the station felt the need to edit the cartoon - that this "one muslim" is able to dictate what can and what can't be shown on television. It's also a story because more than "one muslim" wanted to, and tried to kill the Danish Cartoonist. Because "one muslim" was able to kill Van Gogh

And because "one muslim" (the spiritual leader) told all muslims to kill Rushdie. And because he and many muslims wage a 'holy war' against the 'great satan' (the west). Because many are brainwashed into thinking that non-christians must be terrorised and killed. Because crusades were launched under this belief, and genocides caused.

Now if all those bigoted racists who left comments on Youtube were to do all of the above, and the press did not report it, then this guy might have a point. But they won't and he doesn't. This story is just a milestone in the erosion of free speech. When "One muslim" can censor national television to his whim, and try to blow up the creators, then yes, it is a news story.

Latest comment: Sure the media stir things up to sell papers. But muslim death threats are not empty threats - that's what history shows. Sure, most muslims are not terrorists - but most terrorists are muslims.

It's not an isolated event. The cartoons in 2005 sparked deadly protests in Muslim countries. 50 people were killed in 2006 over cartoons. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for a suicide attack on Denmark’s embassy in Islamabad in 2008, killing six people, for the caricatures. Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard was attacked with an axe, and Theo van Gogh was executed. Now Pakistan blocks access to all of Facebook and YouTube in protest!!!
