The debate was titled "Stephen Fry argues Catholic Church is not a force for good". If he wanted to debate about Islam it would have been called "Stephen Fry argues Islam is not a force for good". Why are you dragging Islam into this? Do you have a problem with your churchs' issues? This is the typical reaction of a sore loser...

I'm not a religious person at all, causes all problems in the World without doubt. But if I had to choose from Catholic Or Islam, I would go the Catholic way all day. Under Islam in 2010 abuse of young girls by deforming their virginas & sewing them up as young as 3 years old, Rape of women & wives through forced marriages on a daily basis, beatings of wives, the stoning to death of women if they have been raped by another man, young muslim men attacking Jews in the street for fun, the death to all Gay people in the World under sharia law. If you think we have issues now as a western society under Christianity, it will be a1000 times worse under Islam..Enjoy your freedom now because the way Europe & the world is changing, it will not be long before you are kneeling to Mecca.

Believe me, the Catholics DON'T win!!! I got out when I was 17 years old. The whole Catholic church is a disgrace! Before you start insulting others and other religions, you should take a much closer look at what your "holier than thou" priests, bishops and popes have been up to the past couple of hundred years - they have more skeletons in the closet than just child rape. No, you do not win! And that's coming from a (former) Roman Catholic turned atheist.
