Stephen Fry on 'outgrowing that silly approach to language'

(6:35) For those who don't enjoy language, Stephen Fry's monologue, visualised with some effective (if not original) kinetic typography, might change your mind

I love Stephen Fry, but I disagree with him on this point. I also believe his own opinion is actually more than a tad affected as he enjoys the attention it gives him to hold a stance that seems so contrary to his general nature of knowledge of inquisitiveness. I'm all for the evolution of the english language. New words- easier and more understandable word forms are great, but usage born out of ignorance is just not interesting.

Latest comment: Inventive usage usually results from the desire to communicate, not from ignorance. This is the engine of language and ignorance of the 'rules' often keeps the engine well oiled.

He is right it is sad the way people use words today and not properly I think it is because of Jesus and his being left out of the lifes of everyday people and now they have no things to say.

Sam, using Jesus and poor syntax won't get anyone wind up. Your tricks are getting old. You can leave now, no one like you...
