Definitely not lying. In the science of NLP, used by FBI and police investigators, 9 times out of ten, a person is lying if their eyes move up and to their right. His eyes move up and to his left, which indicates access of past memories that really happened, not the imagination. By calibrating his movements based on material unrelated to the story, he is of normal behavior for a truthful person. This really happened. Not an act.

Somehow because of the hesitation in his voice and the fact that he is an actor..I do not believe him..How come he did not advance her some money to pay for her misplaced hero worship. He did not even bother to keep in touch with her..OK he is dead but I do not believe him..Anyone can make up stories like that one. He did not even say what was written on the note.

You think he would have been more believable if he betrayed her trust and read out the details of the letter? Or giving someone cash solves their problems? Get over yourself, Jimbo and read a book on human nature.

Helping other people is always a good thing to do. Saving a life brings rewards which cannot be explained, imagined or understood by anyone who hasn't done the same. As an ex-firefighter, I speak from experience.

Almost certainly but not "the" Derren Brown. If Scotty has been telling this story for years the eye is irelevant.

Latest comment: I see no reason to think he is lying. It is a perfectly reasonable tale and far more common than people here seem to think. One-on-one is a very straight forward way for people to help each other in hard times.

Agreed, eye movement suggests recounting memories, not imagination, with other traits, I think this is a true account. IMHO
