Aurora borealis, northern tip of Norway

(1:55) One of the biggest aurora borealis shows in recent years, shot in Kirkenes and Pas National Park in Norway, at -25 celsius. Brrrr but beautiful. Music is from Gladiator soundtrack 'Now We Are Free'. tesophotography.com

It's visible from time to time here in Northern Michigan, and is indeed a wonder to behold.

Latest comment: I grew up in northern Manitoba, Canada. We could actually hear the Aurora Borealis on a cold, clear night. It sounded like static electricity in clothing. The colors were also extremely vivid and would often fill the entire sky.
