Point is that we have to pay for the BBC license, whilst any other channel we don't. So, if they don't want complaints, put on the programmes after the watershed or make sure their presenters behave themselves. EASY really!

The same comic argument could be said of the state of the roads for car owners, who drive. Why complain, we could easily take another road. The point is that car owners have paid to maintain roads i.e. road tax and therefore if the roads are bad, we have a right to complain. Drivers are on the road to get from A to B, and not purposefully on the road to engage in a car crash. In other words, we expect a certain standard for the price we pay.
