DOH! This guy just can't follow eBay/PayPal instructions - and then tries to blame them when it goes wrong. He's a typical example of a highly educated person - schooled at great expense to the tax payer - who underneath it all is a fool who can't be bothered to read simple instructions. eBay & PayPal CLEARLY state that you must ONLY post to the address on the invoice. That's because that address has been CHECKED by them, and is linked to a bank account and/or credit card. If you post to that address and it's a scam - then eBay/PayPal will REFUND YOUR MONEY. Some goes for tracking numbers. eBay/PayPal clearly state you should ALWAYS use a service with a tracking number for high value items. That way you can claim from the shipper and/or eBay/PayPal if the buyer claims they never received it. All this is just common sense. What planet is this guy on when he posts laptops to Indonesia??? He needs to get a grip.

so lets see, this guy takes the trouble to make and upload a video (for no personal gain) simply to help warn others of this scam, and instead of being grateful, you choose to trash him because he didnt read the small print. Not just criticize him, but also go off on some bizaare rant about public funded education. You probably dont have many friends do you? unhappy with your life in general? you are the loser.

I don't need a silly video to teach me not to post laptops to Indonesia you plonker. Common sense is not "small print" - unless you have a small brain.

You prick. Look up the word 'scam'. It is what it is and people are fooled every single day all over the world. How does it feel to be perfect and to never have made an error - you obviously haven't judging by your free & easy criticism of this guy who is simply trying to help other people. Google '419 scams' and see the scale of these my little foolish friend. These alone are worth 2.9M to scammers in Nigeria. Then Google 'fraud' (which is what a scam is) and try to calculate the value of that; as clever as you are you won't be able to. Get my drift?

To be fooled you need to be a FOOL in the first place. Anyone with half-a-brain know there are scams going on, and is careful to read-up and protect themselves against them. People like you and him DESERVE to be scammed because you are so lazy and stupid - despite the fortunes spent trying to have you read English.

I think we should have more of these videos. Ebay and Paypal ASSIST the Scammers! How long would it take ebay to check the messages and see that the buyer requested the second address? There are loads more scams and too many people are not aware of this. I say - make more videos! certainly beats some of the shit that is put up here!

Absolutely, Bogus bidder bought my car with no intention of paying, ebay charged me, paypal wouldn't reverse the charges, it took 3 months to get a refund and a lot of ballache. I was also one of the first to fall for 'this is a genuine picture of the phone', thankfully the seller issued a refund before I got too mad but kindly pointed out my error and said what to watch out for (most honest scammer ever?) Ebay Paypal protect the buyer and are very good at it, they don't care for the seller! To be honest as a web developer, I like that ebay is digging itself into a hole, more businesses want to self host their ecommerce packages rather than rely on ebay for their income which helps keep my business running ;)

Latest comment: Thanks for sharing! We're about selling an item worth 12k and have someone who wants to but it via PayPal. All kinds of "red" flags went up, especially when the buyer was enthusiastic about buying it at the asking price....sight unseen!! We will definitely proceed with caution based, in part, on your experience,

Not eBay or PayPal's fault - not that they are helpful in these cases when they could do more, but if you send to another address than the one registered for the buyer then what do you expect/think might happen? Duh? Really?
