Personally, I wish there were much, much more of them than us. I believe if we were better caretakers of this planet, we wouldn't have so many threatened species, as we already do, due to habitat encroachment, deforestation, over fishing etc. If we, as the human race, equated ourselves to a plant, we would be part of the bamboo species, as they grow extremely fast and are known as 'thugs' in the horticultural world.
