Amazingly, Dubai doesn't have a sewage infrastructure to support its skyscrapers, including the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Drivers said they'd been queuing for three days! Unsurprising then, that many dump their loads into storm drains that lead directly to the open sea. Well !!!. The Arabic empire in Spain in the 10th century onwards was the most enlightened of any of the contemporary cultures, they maintained universities, hospitals, libraries etc. as well as showing a remarkable degree of religious tolerance when the rest of Europe was largely ruled by a bunch of despotic barbarians. Pity that the current bunch of stroppy Arab cultures cannot remember their own fairly splendid history.

The Arabs once had the most wonderful Architecture and engineering accomplishments...look around today at some of those centuries-old buildings and the workmanship and design in them is obviously from a very enlightened and capable people. And they once had enough vocabulary in their language to describe their feelings in words and not profanities. Do you? Having said all that, what you have shown us here is unbelievably sad.

Those of you that think these are not poop trucks are wrong!! In 2008 I was working for one of the largest construction co. in the USA. I was asked if I wanted to go to Dubai to work on a project to build 2 waste water treatment plants AND to install sewage and water lines through out the city of Dubai!! This for real !! Most of the high rise buildings in Dubai have to ship out the poop to a small treatment plant just outside of town. They also have to bring the water to supply the buildings. The infrastructure in Dubai is 3rd world AT BEST !! The company backed out of the job just before it came to light that the country was going broke!! (the country had to borrow money to complete Burj Khalifa) This is from Wikipedia...The project's completion coincided with the global financial crisis of 2007–2010, and with vast overbuilding in the country, led to high vacancies and foreclosures.[15] With Dubai mired in debt from its huge ambitions, the government was forced to seek multibillion dollar bailouts from its oil rich neighbor Abu Dhabi. Subsequently, in a surprise move at its opening ceremony, the tower was renamed Burj Khalifa, said to honour the UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his crucial support. Some of you need to get the facts right !!! And how this became USA bashing is bullshit !!!!!!

The language used in this video is more offensive than the poop to both Christians and Muslims. Also, this video is most likely 7 to 10 years old. One must remember that 45 years ago the UAE did not have a paved road or a streetlight so development may have came too fast. However, the UAE is making a concerted effort to build an infrastructure commensurate to its fabulous buildings and cities. I lived in the UAE for 18 months and I will testify that it is a wonderful country and the Emiraties are lovely people. I never smelt any odors, never saw a warning against swimming in the beautiful Arabian Gulf, which by the way is full of swimmers, nor did I ever see any pollution in the waters. Pumping and hauling sewage is very common in rural America. Oh, how about the floatila of barges that haul and dump New York City's trash into the ocean on a daily basis?

That's one way of looking at it but there is another. My father was a Canadian from the west coast who spent the entire war serving in the British merchant navy. Yes, we've all heard about the alleged alliance between Hitler and the US in the late 30's. Well, I suspect truth is, the US came into the war in both Europe and the Pacific a few years "before" the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The US supplied a major portion of the steel required to build the tanks, battleships and subs before and even during the time Britain was dodging the bombs. My father repeatedly witnessed the US steel ships lining the harbors of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Then at night, along side would come the German scows with swastikas to fill their hungry bellies. At the same time on the west coast, my family watched while one after another Japanese ships loaded with US steel would stop in to top up their coal then set sail for Japan to build flatops etc. Was this without the knowledge of government? Unlikely. These example only scratch the surface. My point is not to mock or depreciate the efforts of the American ( or other allied) soldier, sailor, or airman who gave their all in the fight for what they believed. I only wish to offer the point that to use "accepted" history as a tool to judge score may be a practise that defeats all wisdom.

You only have to look at any war where the US has 'takenthe lead' and they either lose (Vietnam) or stuff it up, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Exactly.......we did NOT lose the Vietnam "Conflict" but were TOLD to not use "both fists" . Our hands were tied behind our backs!! It was a MONEY MAKER for the defense contractors.......NOTHING MORE!!!
