Why are you atheists so angry? Why are you atheists so angry?

(48:18) Prominent atheist blogger Greta Christina spouts a long list of powerful reasons why she, and many other atheists, are angry at religion. Well worth the 48 minutes whatever side you take. From Skepticon 4 (2011), a skeptic and atheist convention held at Missouri State University. Check out Greta Christina's blog.

Latest comment: Greta, you are 100% right. And I hope your ideas as presented by you and Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens, et al make a difference not just for atheists, but for everyone who has suffered or is suffering under the tyranny of religion. However, since support for religion is about psychological need, nothing more, nothing less. and until this psychological need is satisfied, the tyranny of religion will persist. I believe that the way is to satisfy and to channel this need as a power for human well being is to: 1. fight for school curriculums based on evidence and proof, and not mean-spirited fairy tales. 2. Get atheist politicians elected to public office, not because they are atheists, but because they are the best qualified, but would not be elected simply because of their atheism. 3. Work to build up and maintain the separation of church and state.

Stunning. I could happily watch four hours of that, not just 48 minutes.
