Dave Brubeck and the young Russian violinist

(3:55) During a visit to Moscow in the 80's, American jazz pianist Dave Brubeck met the faculty and students at the Moscow Conservatory. While he improvised on a Russian theme, a young student joined in on violin. Next video is 'Song of the Volga Boatmen' performed by Leonid Kharitonov and the Red Army Choir.

In the 2nd video, standing behind Kharitonov, isn't that a young Gordon Brown?

OMG! This brought tears to my eye. As a musician, I can say that the best music comes from listening. Brubeck shows his genius -- not by keeping center stage -- by working with another genius. They move, they flow, and two strangers meet and create a moment of musical beauty. I was moved.
