I like churches, I like the architecture but I cant stand the catholic church.
I dont need people or a house to believe in god, its a thing between me and god and no one else.
We owe our freedom, our culture and wealth to the church? FU, Id suggest reading a history book!

Love the comments :-)
Can't agree more..... A bunch of crap. I wish Canada and the USA would follow Europe and ditch religious crap.
When enough people realize what a lot of bunk religion is, We may all be able to get together and Stop the Muslims from taking over the world, (That is their mandate, Say's so in their Koran).
First we need to stop being terrified of "Offending" them, Then we need to stop accommodating them over and above any other citizen.
When the whole worlds population are HUMANISTS.......... Life on our planet will get much better.

As an atheist Canadian, I can say that there are very few people around here who take Christianity very seriously. Social pressures still encourage some to attend churches, some go because of the community aspect. Canada and the US are quite different from each other in these respects.

Latest comment: This is from the CBN Christian Broadcasting Network run by Pat Robertson. That explains the bias.

Once you learn to think for yourself, you no longer need a preacher or an imam to do it for you. There IS no god so religion is really a waste of time and effort.

"no western European country is having enough babies to replace its current population"
"few European women have more than one child"
"Religion is associated with oppression."
"Christianity is largely irrelevant"
These 'facts' are presented as if they are bad things?

It's difficult to follow the word of Christ when you have an education that teaches the value of critical thought, coupled with a religion which encourages the laity to be anti-intellectualist. I don't think that Christians in Europe are pumping out babies any faster than anyone else though, so not sure what relevance the birth figures have to anything.
