It didn't travel over anything that a regular tracked excavator can't already traverse! And I'd like to see how quickly it sinks into soft disturbed soil like one finds on a building site. That thing'll be f**ked in no time!

These things are designed for working in steep areas, where a flat surface for a tracked machine isn't available. One of these can - for example - work its way up a steep rocky ravine, and work there with a high degree of stability.

yeah, because obviously a huge corporation specifically designing excavating machines that, y'know, might end up on building sites, would never have thought of that scenario. sigh, if only they had employed someone of your calibre of foresight and intelligence.
