Neil deGrasse Tyson: How much would you pay for the universe?

(5:21) Space exploration is important, not because it's easy, but because it inspires and creates the generation of people needed to underpin a thriving economy in the modern world. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson passionately argues that for the sake of America's future, funding for manned space exploration should increase, even in these times of financial turmoil.

Neil is 100% correct, and right to be angry. This country is in deep shit compared to the USA of the 60's. We are struggling to hold on to what we achieved 50 years ago- but it's pointless because we are not thinking about the future. Instead we prop up the idiotic banks who actually produce NOTHING- just push paper around, and finance wars started by madmen.

I'd pay a nickel to send all of wall street/big bankers/overpaid CEOs into the sun. I bet we could do that in less than 1 year of research, and improve life on earth for everyone.

Latest comment: Why does everyone think banking CEO's are overpaid? Can you give me the name of a banking CEO that you think is being paid too much compared to other industries like the CEO of Viacom, Oracle, DirecTV, Disney, Ford, AT
